1st gen CRX turbo timing ?

Hi. I plan on putting an IHI turbo(7psi) and some 450cc and safc on my 86 with DOHC ZC. I hear that safc advances timing. In my case, my car's timing is vacuum advance. Not like 88 and up.Will it affect mine? Also, any difference in MAP sensors from my car and newer? It's my 1st turbo setup. Thought I'd put it in my CRX since you don't see too many around. Hope it's not any different than 2nd gen CRX. Any replies greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!

You should check http://www.redpepperracing.com

Have you purchased the engine yet? If not, I suggest you get the black top ZC, instead of the brown top. Get rid of the vacuum advance all together. I am putting a black top in my 86 Si, it will be easier to boost as well.

Well, brown top is already in there. Runs pretty sweet, but I wanna boost. But before, I thought of putting a black top,but thought it was gonna be hard to modify the harness to run it. Maybe I'll put one later on,but meanwhile I'd thought I'd stick with this one. But will S-AFC work with this setup meanwhile?THANKS!!!

A S-AFC should work on just about any setup. You should check with NYC86ZC......by the looks of his pictures, his ZC is a brown top. He has a pretty nice looking set up for it too.
