First go to a craft/Hobby shop and pick up Krylon Stained Glass paint part # 6020. This is a transparent red, that works well on platic and glass. Outdoor/indoor use. It Drys to touch in less then 30 mins.

You can use your stock Tail light's (like in pic shown) to do this. Just remove them from the rear trunk. Take some brake clean or any good cleaner and clean the lenses up really good.

*NOTE On stock tailights painted, the amber section is always a bit darker then the others, so it doesnt look to even at night.

Before you say holy shit, homemadeturbo went rice, Listen, Go out and buy some of these from Ebay, They are just incredibly cheap, Nobody wants clear lights anymore and I see them go for as cheap as 45 bucks! Shit you pay 70 bucks for just 1 at the dealer! These are the best to paint transparent red since they have no amber corners, all the red matches very nicely.

Besure to mask off the reverse lights, get some masking tape and a exacto knife to cut it perfectly. Its pretty easy to mask off since their is a grove.

Painting can be somewhat difficult, We have found the BEST way to paint these is, INDOORS ONLY! (garage) Besure that they are very clean to begin with. Shake the paint can atleast 5-10 mins to get a nice mix. When spraying you will only give the Tailights 1 good coat! ONLY 1 COAT or they will turn out like shit. Go really heavy with the 1 coat, and do 1 tailight at a time. If you attempt to do 2 coats they will have a rough texture and looks like complete shit. (trust me we tried it)

1 thick coat and they will turn out good like these!

Now you got to remember now, these are not FACTORY tailights, since they are aftermarket they will leak. So get some clear silicone and seal the entire edge around the lense and housing. That way they will get NO water or any type of condensation in them.
