Default Knock - Knock, new to forum - Hello!

Howdy everyone,

Another newbie here to the sight. My name's Deon - and my S/N is the same one I've used since 2k2 online.. Pun on the old Talon..

I'm currently running a bone stock 2007 S-197 3v (with the exception of springs and audio gear) which I bought new in Dec 2006 fully intending to turbo.

My previous level of discretionary income disappeared directly after purchasing the car… Since then I’ve been held to a pretty thin level of available disposable income…

I used to drive and wrench (regularly) on a DSM, (1992 talon)

It’s last build details below - it's still listed under please wait... 7 years later. This obviously wasn't it's beginning - I pulled it out of a field and built it from the ground up piece by piece - starting out with typical DSM mods...

Which brings me to now.... Decided I'm tired of waiting to get back to OK financially. It's time to start pecking at turbocharging the Mustang.

I'm fixated on twins. Nothing crazy large. If I can find a built (or build a) bottom end - eventual goal will be ~~ 700-750 wheel. Realistic goal prior to that dictated by my powdered rods.... (450ish)

I'd been tinkering on picking up a pair of TD05HR 16G6 10.5T's. With some patients they should be able to be had for ~~ 400 at a pair.. LOVED the big 16G hit on the Talon under its first build and these are darned decent turbo’s.. Am curious if anyone’s ever seen them used in an S-197..??

Originally I wanted to run turbo's mounted where the cat's are currently - (dreams of road racing never to be realized) but now - I'm thinking in the engine bay... Really love the semi symmetric look of a pair straddling the engine…

Anyway – HELLO fella’s.. Nice to meet ya’ll.. Love to hear from anyone who’s DIY’d their own TT S197’s, and anyone who’s ever heard of Mitsu turbos used on S-197s!
