my set up is a zc block with the d16a1 head with the zc cams and cam gears, si ecu,89si tranny, 1st-3rd are strong but once i hit 4th its slower then ----,i raced my cousins lsvtec ef hatch, my 3rd gear pulled a car infront of him(on the highway) and my 4th pulled a bit more then it just started to get slow!!, my cousin said his zc was like that also when he had one in his car, is anyone elses like that? what could i do to make my 4th gear better then what it is now

well if your n/a thats why. bigger displacement cars will pull harder up top

Actually the 3rd and 4th gear from ZC tranny's are really short. I will probably be getting them for my Y8 tranny this year.

Actually the EX/DX/CX all have the same 5th gear. The final drives are just different.

ZC needs the close ratio tranny, but he is running a Si tranny.........sucky DX FD!

i'd also use a pg7 ecu.. im sure that pm6 isnt helping.

5th gear on my civic si hatch 1993 is .750 coupe ex from the same year is .702

maybe that's why when i pull 120mph in 4th i can go higher in 5th, heard a lot of people complaining about their 5th not able to pull past 120mph... fastest i went was 135mph "NA"
