I've used both, haha. Only time I used the ghetto portable one is on a Metro head, though.

Portable is probably bigger than the metro head, so yeah.

For the record, JD is 100% correct. If the machined surfaces mate perfectly, it will not leak. Ive ran numerous dsms/porsche like that and now my daily driven turbo LS with exactly no leaks.

Some porsche come from the factory without exhaust gaskets at all.

Gaskets are a compromise for the factory quality.

I have yet to see a manifold made by anyone that is flat enough to not need a gasket. My milled head flange has leaks even with a thick gasket and my belt sanded (by a professional machinist) turbo flange leaks like a ----------er with a metal gasket AND a ---- ton of orange RTV. My untouched WG flange seals fine with RTV and a metal gasket, go figure.

Aside from all of that, you're failing to realize how little sealing surface Pete has with that ported head.

Yea that's exactly how it went.

Slow by who's standards? Slow by 12.9 @ 109mph 100 shot using LS1 owners standards? I laugh at that thought. Drive your dumbestic boat off a bridge and see if it floats.

Try out that gasket stuff and let us know how it goes.

What, the $1000 bet that the OEM-proven gasketless solution leaks like the Titanic, or the $2000 bet that I don't get my manifolds where you get yours? :1

For someone of your intelligence level I would expect a higher level of reading comprehension.

I'm refering to the $1,000 bet that HIS manifold (no one else's, just his) will leak if HE (not you, not anyone else) uses no gasket.
Never said anything about gasketless manifolds not working because everyone knows it does (or at least should). I mentioned only HIS manifold.

I already won the manifold source bet so that isn't fair.
