Re:Your opinion on the SRT-4
thanks for the replies, i see that the neon and WRX both have the same ratings in reliability, but im wondering what will hold its value longer. (incase i ever need to sell it) I know neons are known for depreciating in value and subaru's aren't. but The neon has a reputation of being very easy to mod and make great power gains but... ITS A ------ NEON!
But thanks for the replies! im gonna go drive them tommarow and see.

Re:Your opinion on the SRT-4
I already know all of this infomation, the point was you said "Even the motor in the NA eclipse from 95-99 is a dodge motor not Mitsu" It is in the aspect of it not being a mitsu 4g63 DSM setup like we are all use to. The 420a engine was designed by mitsu for Chrysler with all mainly Chrylser parts.
We always use to call the 2g DSM's with the 420's Dodgibishis, because it shared both parts. The 420a was built in america, and yes just like all DSM's were assembled in Chrysler plants. Keep in mind Chrylser and Mitsu use to be very close and shared tons of parts during the Diamond Star partnership.
As far as mitsubishi and how they stand now, I wouldnt be suprised if they went out of business in the next few years. DaimlerChrysler refused to give mitsu anymore money and they are already 1.2 billion in debt. Mitsu tokyo is their only hope.
I use to work at a mitsu dealership =)

Re:Your opinion on the SRT-4
so back to the subject, I would love to have a neon SRT-4. I test drove one and was throughly impressed. from what i am understanding with motor trend, the 2005 version will have LSD, and a few factory performance options such as cams, and a water sprayer for the intercooler, and a better exhaust system.
now about the mitsu's. the new evo will be priced at a base of 26,700- so for about 7K more, you can have an evo. if I cant afford a evo, i will sersiouly consider a SRT-4. although by the time I will be able to afford a new car, will probably be another 2 years so by then I will probably be able to pick up an evo for like 15 grand or smoething.
also there is an EVO MR comming out. a 100% factory race car, equipped with an aluminum roof, and the MR stands for "mistu racing" you can read for yourself. I am speachless...I want one. bad.
http://www.edmunds.com/news/autoshow...3/page006.html and for people who said mitsu is going bankrupt, i dont think so.....

also, there are a ---- load of options you can get from any dealer, that also would be included with any sticker price of almost any car. sway bars, stiffer suspensions, even a sun roof in considered a performance option on some cars because of the extra top weight it adds, etc....
so what is really your point...
