Yeah but it last for days. The problem with Laminate is that it works great in the show room. When you actually put it in a home it's a completely different situation. The sub-floors on homes flex. Even slabs are relatively thin by foundation standards and can move a bit with the earth. Once you put your floor down and start walking on it, it cause the floor to depress. This in turn pulls at the tongue and groove. Then when you lift your foot up this interface mashes back together. This constant pulling and pushing wears away and the interlock and causes the pieces to space out creating grooves where the pieces connect, but even worse, squeaks when you walk on it. Thats why after 2-3 years everyones laminate floors squeak. I'm a flooring contractor so I know this stuff. But I will say you can get that crap CHEAP like 70 cents a square foot. And if you rip it out when it starts to go bad you not only get a new floor, but it gives you the opportunity to change to the look of the house every so often(Impresses the Lady friends )
