Here is the rundown:

Qwest DSL
WRT54G2 wireless router

MAC filtration on
WEP on

Just got the internet going at the apt. To offset the cost i split it with a neighbor. Everythign is cool so far. I want to get another person to pay "half" also, leaving me with a bill of $0. I don't want my speeds to go to hell though with 3 ppl on there. Is there a way to limit the amount of bandwidth that the other users can use?

I am pretty tech savy, so u shouldn't have to dumb it down too much. Do I possibly need a router with some more features?

I've looked for this sorta thing myself and never found anything. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I never found anything. Kinda surprises me it's not a feature of custom firmwares but I haven't checked in a while.

I think the only option is expensive networking hardware.

Check out the Tomato and DD-WRT custom firmwares, maybe they've added that feature.
