Does it disable the stock igntion trim that ADDS to what you already have in the map? (+timing as a function of RPM)

i have a 1977 Suzuki GS 400 that my mom gave me when i was 17 (used to be her bike). I still have it but its at home sitting in the cellar and needs some work done. I may pull it out next year and try to fix it up to teach my fiance how to ride. Its a great started bike...
