Xenocron's New Toys

Re: Xenocron's New Toys
Xenocron. Can I come live with you? I want to be your ecu apprentice. seriously.
anyway, I've been comtemplating getting into ecu tuning-- honda only to start, and it def wouldn't be for profit to start, just for fun and to pay for the equipment necessary. I want your personal opinion on this-- should I stick with crome, or wait and start with neptune? If I percieved correctly it seemed like there was some turmoil with crome for a while-- wasn't it even said that the last version to come out was supposed to be the last ever? I know crome pro is an excellent and versatile tuning tool, but with neptune becoming so much more accessible, what are we lookin at here? basically, wwxd? I guess crome should be the starting point at least. But neptune is like camping... that ---- is in-tents yo!

I have one employee now, and he does very well. Finding good help is definitely hard to do but eventually if I keep growing at the pace I am on, I will need to find another loyal hard working gearhead/computer nerd. There is just not enough time in the day...
Start with Crome, learn...and master. Then move on...any cars you can get your hands on to learn and play...the more the better. Just make sure you are honest about your skill level with the customer and they usually understand...and they can make their own decision whether or not to put the car in your hands. We all started somewhere...
Look into OBD0 stuff too...TurboEdit is still good and BRE has been developing rapidly...look for continued improvements everywhere.
Neptune is baller ----...but completely functional, working worth it baller ----
