NXE Update makes them silent, PS3's have blue-ray but noone appreciating the high quality outputs of blue-ray is going to like the hurricane that is the PS3.
360 has more games & runs them better. higher frame rates & less clipping to get them.

Only thing the ps3 is good at is Folding@Home - which if that's important to you a $150-200 video card in a PC will royaly trounce.

i get people who tell me all the time that the ps3 is a low quality blu ray player. they are all dumb *****. blu ray is made by only one company currently, and thats sony. ps3 = sony. top quality ----

PS1 was a great CD player, PS2 was a great dvd player PS3 has a great blue-ray player built in.


But it's loud as ---- and I dont see anyone with a PS3 enjoying that and huge surround sound.

I like how you are saying the PS3 is loud when the Xbox360 is notorious for being loud. Hell, half the people that got RROD did because they stored their Xbox in an enclosed space with decent ventilation because the sucker was so noisy.

RROD's are not caused by overheating. They are caused by cold soldier joints - themselves caused by using the wrong type of solder for the wash application on the motherboards.
The RROD is caused by:
1) The GPU solder joints busting as the CPU and GPU loose their initial torque settings - which flex the board
2) RAMDAC solder joints busting as the CPU and GPU loose their initial torque settings - which flex the board
3) CPU solder joints busting as the CPU and GPU loose their initial torque settings - which flex the board

The actual amount of board flexing via thermal expansion of a general 4 & 6 layer PCB of this type (green Fiber reinforced resin) is around 6 millionths of an inch between 65*F and 300*F. The board itself would never see a fluxuation between 60*F and 155*F. The stabalized operating temp on the board for any of them is 140-150*F.




The NXE update provides Netflix, more streaming from a PC and ripping game content to the hard drive. The xbox is as silent as my new Onkyo TX-SV606 reciever. As in, SILENT you stupid un-knowledgeable **** sucker.

They're screwed in so tightly the boards bend. Then loosen over handling and time flexing the board more. Let the blood back to your brain jesus
