There are areas around Toronto that are pretty cheap, small communities where you cna find aparments and land/houses for cheap, depends what your looking for

But I doubt Ontario is the cheapest

You won't survive in Calgary, unless you make killer money, Red Deer is aids capital, BC is full of *******, aka 90dx and Sask is one of the cheapest places to live in Canada. And the oil field is really not in full motion right now, alot of rigs are shut down, PD, Ensign, Chinook, Trinidad, Pantera etc... Service is working, but not alot, you could go Fracing lol if you wanna be a ******.
