I think you're looking at the bitch pin there aren't you? If so, you have to pound it out, just make sure you have a properly sized punch and a heavy *** hammer with a non------ swinging arm. If you fail at that, you could try to just disconnect the rod at the shifter and try to pull it out with the engine, or just cut your linkage in half and reweld it later 
Replace that bitch pin with a bolt and nut if you do remove it though, it just makes it that much easier next time

Next time make sure to have the a/c system evacuated. There isnt even a need to remove it anyways. But that stuff is really bad for the environment and it sucks to see people letting it loose without a care. There are big fines that go with it.

If you had that much trouble trying to get the axle nut loose and all that other stuff, all I can say is have fun with that crank pulley. 
Do yourself a favor and buy the special tool that fits into the pulley...it'll save you many hours of frustration and kicking and swearing.
