I got this pleasant noise on the way home today. So guess the noise, lol. I know its a little hard to hear but man you should hear this bitch under load. I was just driving home and all of a sudden while going up hil i notice i had it floored more than normal (still slow *** N/A) and heard that noise. well it was slightly louder when i got back to the house. so now what?

Cam Rods Pistons in the D

Or find an LS with a tranny cause the one in teh d is whining and grinding into 2nd already.

The option should have been "Fist a turkey", considering what tomorrow is.

So i guess the mains look good, gonna start pulling rod caps tomorrow. So for all the nogs who do this regularly, is machine work required for a rebuild or only if you see ---- ups and scoring on the crank? heres what i saw once i pulled ----, i lack the experience to tell if this is normal ware or not. I have totaled up parts to like 600 and thats rods, pistons, water pump timing belt, bearings, etc. ...how much would it be to have a machine shop turn the crank and assemble the bottom end? Like would I be looking at something like 100-150 bucks or like 400-500 bucks? I think if im looking at 1K for a rebuild I mgiht as well swap a B18 for that. Thoughts?
