I have never seen a "performance shop" asking for tech articles from others.

Re: Write ups, write ups, write ups
I'm not a "performance shop", and I don't have a forum, so you couldn't ask anyway. HMT is my home community with a large customer base here, and if they want to submit write ups, then I'm thankful.
HMT isn't actively looking for write ups for thier tech projects section. When is the last time you saw a new one up there? Plus, since you and Jeff feel that a website owner should do his own write ups, then HMT members write ups aren't going to be used there anyway.
If it were your website you could do things according to how "your agenda" would like, but I don't remember asking what you thought.

This thread is stupid, if you feel your website needs write ups just make them yourself, or grow large enough that people will just submit them to you.

Yeah, that DIY compressor map thing didn't really pan out into the turbo sales I had hoped for. Oh ----, I knew I forgot to start selling turbo's. ----, I forgot to order all those diy alignment racks too.
The theme of the page is "do it yourselfer OF THE MONTH". That would mean that every month there is supposed to be a new one. I can't handle doing a write up a month about just things that I come up with. I don't have the projects, tools, or vehicles to do the kind of diverse write ups that would keep everything interesting.
"Hey, look how full of myself I am. I'm the DIY of every month!!!"
The bottom line is that I want to make the site more than just another spot where you buy stuff. Those that would like to help, can, and those with bullshit opinions about how a website should run need not apply. Theres no gun to your head.

Well the name of the game is DIY so do your writeups yourself. Jeff said it was alright if you borrowed his greatest project ever: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_projects/taillights/
