Damn, sorry to hear about it. It must suck to drive in snow. 
I'm having a fun time dealing with insurance companies. I pay insurance and when I need to use it, they deny the claim. Why do I even have insurance? Oh yeah, because the government makes me.

You're better off fixing it on your own anyways. For the $500 it costs you to fix it your insurance will raise your rates $25 a month for the next 3 years so you'll end up paying for it one way or another.
