I can't believe that thing went for $3400. 
Those things rock, and normally sell for a lot more. Do normal car inspection type stuff, look especially for rust. Make a point of spraying the car down with a garden hose and if you get water in the floorboard then the battery box has rusted through, which is a big deal on those cars as it's built into a structural part of the frame.
