I think the issue here is the thickness and not the cut quality

Cut quality IS the issue. That piece you posted is thin and most cutting shops have lasers that make clean cuts through thin stuff, just like plasma cutters.

The issue is that you need to find a place that has a high powered laser that is meant for greater than 1" clean cutting, so that way the 3/8 stuff comes out clean. The same is true for plasma cutting.

whatever cut my flange, the cut quality is garbage and you can see where the plasma/flame wondered through the steel. it's all wavy and shitty with tons of mill scale, but it doesn't bother me because it was 15 bucks :P

The piece I posted is .06" titanium that was waterjet cut. This thread makes it sound like your getting flame cut slag filled flanges. the point I was making is you can get a clean cut with a laser. thats why I say quality isn't the issue because I'm sure he did the research and isn't going to send people shitty flanges. He wants to know if people would want 3/8" thick flanges, not if a laser can do it.

No doubt laser can do a good job, I just wanted to point out that most places don't invest enough to go over the rated cut.

But your right. This thread has veered off course.

look for a sticky in the fs forum in the next couple weeks, i'm about to order my first batch. 3/8" mild steel, laser cut flanges will be up for sale with cheaper prices than anywhere else you will find. start making suggestions for what patterns you want to see. so far they will include:

Honda:
B-series
D-series
K-series
F22A
F22B
F20C
B20A5
A20A
C32A
H22A

Toyota:
4AGE
3SGTE
Scion TC

Turbo related (all inlet flanges and wastegate flanges will have threaded holes):
T3
T4
T4 twin scroll
GT25/GT28
T3 5 bolt downpipe
38mm WG

these are just to start. as demand grows for more patterns, they will be added.

I would def. buy any flanges Aaron sells. We've all seen the quality of his work which goes to show how meticulous he is, so I honestly doubt he'd sell sub-par flanges just to make a few bucks.

Here's one for you, I don't see too many of these floating around and would kinda cater to some of us n/a guys as well looking to do collector upgrades and help with turbo dp's...
2.5" and 3" collector flanges, like the standard honda 2-bolt piece where you can slide your 2.5" or 3" piping through the flange, weld it on, and then use those lead donut gaskets to seal to the rest of the exhaust.

How about Toyota "E" series engines and that goofy chrysler turbo flange?
