The sun is free energy, so to speak. Solar powered ---- needs to catch on. That has potential. We could start a thread on solar power and have a huge discussion. There's a lot of ways to capture energy from the sun to make electricity, heat and cool our homes, etc.
What he describes I don't buy. It makes no sense from my physics background. He basically wants to put a weight on the edge of a wheel so that gravity pulls the weight down, turning the wheel. Then remove the weight when it gets to the bottom. So far we're good. Then he says he has a device that can magically put the weight back to the top using less energy than mass x gravity x height. I don't buy that. If he does have a device that does that he's gonna be the richest guy on earth, but I kinda doubt it after trying to decipher through his readings.

solar power
geo thermal power
hydro electric power
wind energy
deep ocean current/wave generators
even ------- landfill generators that run off the methane taken in from garbage.. (even if that electricity is only used to run the landfill alone)
speaking of which.. burn garbage to fuel generators instead of burying it

Re: World's energy problems solved...
There is no free energy.
Solar cells are expensive and produce very little power for their size. They only work when its sunny too.
Wind power only works when its windy and again a decent output turbine isnt cheap.
Geothermal is decent but you still have to pay the electricity for the pumps and fans.
Hydroelectric has very high initial costs.
Wave energy has a much smaller initial cost that regular hydroelectric, has fairly constant output, low maintenance, and a lot of energy in a small package.
Anyway you do it there is no way to get free energy as in $0 kW H.

On the 20th of June 2008, the oil reign and those who governed by their money and crushed the people by the taxes and control of the most basic of needs shall be put down for all time.
This dude is cocky as hell. I want to laugh at his failure already.

Fact is, it'll take more energy to move a weight back up to get any result from gravity, than it'll get from gravity.
I hope he proves everyone wrong, but I somehow know he won't.
Oh, and I don't preach creationism or the supernatural.
