Default Work accident

So has any one wonder what would happen if a spring compressor unloaded while compressing a coil spring for a strut??
Sunday while at work ( I work at Sears Auto Center) I was compressing a spring to replace a binding bearing plate on the front strut of a caravan. I went to pull the bearing plate off, the spring compressor slipped and let the spring rebound about 3 inchs, jamming my finger between the bearing plate the top of the spring compressor...

heres the aftermath

the finger is broken, smashed to hell obviously i'll try to get pictures of the x-ray as soon as i can figure out how to get them clear enough to see the fracture

so now i'm screwed, i can sorta work, but only light duty work, and only can use my left hand ..but i am on vicidan

If you **** clean, worker's comp covers your ***. You are not screwed (anywhere other than between the ears, and maybe in the *** if you mix those vikes with alcohol in a gay bar) just go file.

as far as i know, workers comp only covers 85% of my benifit rate.. and i beleive my benifet rate is taken by my hours work divided by the amount of money i made AFTER taxes, and then they will take taxes out again when the pay check comes which is shitty compared to what i was making before

Peddle your *** on the street, son. It's the only way you'll survive.

If you're over 26 the doc can just cut it off for you. Under 25 is usually the cutoff (hehe) point for amputating crushed fingers. Even if you ask!
