Default wireless routers

My current linksys router licks *****, Drops the signal like every 10 minutes and i have to go down stairs to reset the damn thing. I'm looking for a new one that will give me good signal in my room. House is like a 3000sqft home and i need it to get from one end of the house down stairs to my room upstairs. What kind of wireless router are you using and how much did you pay, and obviously how good does it work. Money really isn't an option but if its going to cost an arm and a ------- leg don't even mention it

my netgear works perfectly. was worth the 20 bucks from comp usa. plus my old linksys did the same ---- yours does. i dont know what the problem is with most routers where you have to reset that ---- every fucken day.

Wireless routers are the most unreliable pieces of ----...id say they around a year

for my clients and myself, i only use llinksys. altho ive had the same experiences that you have had with them, they seem to do it less often than other brands. they may be more expensive but i think they are worth it

what ever you do, dont buiy a dlink

yeah i've seen some routers that come with the booster thing. does that ---- really work or is it a gimmick to get you to buy their ----. It works fine at first. then i have to reset every 10 mins sometimes and that gets ------- annoying . The router i bought was on sale, maybe there was a reason for it and i'm not to familiar with wireless crap but i dont think i can use a wireless g router with my wireless b cards correct?

nah they actually work.

if you could find a WRT54GL (Linux Version) you can flash the BIOS w/ a modified version and can even increase the signal strength.

WRT54GC

Booster Antenna (try w/o first, if it still sux try it then).

any SMA antenna should work w/ it.

but would i have to get a 802.11b/g router so it works with my cards or will a wireless g router work with my wireless b cards? How often do you reset yours if you even have to?
