I was thinking of doing Win 98 SE/XP Pro.. I know how to parition it in half and to install each OS.. but does the menu that comes up with "which windows do you want to use" automatically show, or do I need another program to do so?

oh hell lets get nasty, i vote OpenBSD
lol I am just like you , except i didn't go to school for it (yet). I have lots of books and that is basicly what i did in middle school and highschool. learned ---- load of programming got my a+ cert freshemn year of highschool, i've knew a ---- load of languages, php, c, , perl javascript, delphi, vb(yuck like a mutherfuckah), bash, etc. Gone to the last 3 defcons, during highschool i did server management and at one time was running 7 servers and making some buck at it.

Then I bought a CRX...

I find working on computers ------- boring as ---- now. I'd much rather go for a drive in my crx than work on a computer.

if you venture off into the nix world, unless you're going to be running a server don't mess with openbsd. it is a good server os , but not very good with desktop unelss they have done a lot of work since 3.0-3.1ish that is when i lost interest. It is a pain in the *** to work video drivers in openbsd especially witha laptop, took me a few weeks to get it to work properly. but then it was cool.

If you want a decent desktop nix os, hit up slackware. it isn't as much bullshit has what redhat was or mandrake and it is a pretty straight forward flavor of nix.

But to the point of the topic, go and jack a copy of longhorn and be the only person on your block running it.

my votes:

Slackware

or

longhorn

Also: ME sucks so bad, it should have NEVER been released. I'd rather rock Windows 3.11 than ME.
Actually 95, 98 and ME are still GUI's running DOS, Microsoft's first real OS was 2000

I like the part where you didn't tell us what car you have, or what your goals are. And yet you expect us to reccomend what the "best turbo" is.

Like another guy said you are not getting a deecent OS till you go to 200 NT. Anything from 2000 and upward will be more stable. So I would say 2000 NT, or XP pro. Do not use ME, that is a crappy OS, and if you are going to go XP, then do it right and get pro.
