Redhat and xp here :P

98 was nice and simple. I can't remember how now, but I used to know how to do a super stable install of it.

I think that after you format you creat a directory called "options" on your HD then copy everything from the cd's directory "windows" (ex: "e:/windows") to "C:/options" and install from the HD.

it's actually e:\win98 and that doesnt do ----. All that does is when you install a device when it asks you for the windows 98 cdrom it just skips the ask and goes right to that DIR for the files. You want it stable. don't let computer illiterate people download every single email attachment they see.

What the hell are you thinking...XP is a skin of 2000 you can just changed the settings and it will change it right back to looking like 2000
