If I can drop a H22 in a crx and turbo it to run 9's that's great, you can also drop a 429 in a mustang and supercharge it to run 9's. I show more respect for the 4 banger though... considering it's under HALF the size and FWD.
Thank you thats what i was saying

Mustangs and Honda/Imports will always be enemies. i give the same respect to mustang owners as i do honda owners. people pull up next to me in honda, mustangs, mini vans , bikes, wheelchairs you name it, they all rev it up. the bottom line is whats your prefrence. To me the mustangGt in 95 was an awesome car but everyone and there mom had one like the hondas of today. i like the 4 bangers my first engine was a 87 sentra. i like working on the little engines and trying to squeeze what i can. if i can get 200 out of a sohc 4 series then im happy and im sure that is the same feeling a mustang owner gets over 300( or what ever it is) in his v8. its the same arqument with the eclipse, when the try to race its like " buddy you have to more cylinders more than me"

BTW CObra R's are $100k :P And yea, and about the motor swapped bs. Yea you can swap in a b160834923489 and runs 13s whatever. Ill swap in a 418 stroker from a goddamn 1972 VAN, and run high low to mid 12s all day long. With ac, stereo etc. Alot of the dumbfuckled Honda owners around here strip there econobox -----cans down to a frame and a seat, talking about how they're "mad street racerz y0"

fu.

Here is what I think... It all comes down the to bias on the car. If you want an almightly powerhouse that will just blast down a straight road like there is no tomorrow then by all means mustang is the way to go. Nothing like a sc'd 351 windsor.

Now try to make that car go fast around a corner. I know you _can_ make them handle well. Give me enough coin and I'll make a lada handle well. So if you like a car that's cheap on insurance and cheap on gas and can be driven fast on the twisties, then between the two honda is a much better choice.

Light car with a light front end, independant multilink suspension, and a light powerplant make the honda a choice for handling. Look at the mustang, you've got an 800+lb chunk of metal between the 2 front wheels. Live axle in the rear. Not exactly the best of handling right off the bat.

There are lots of comparisons you could do that would show either choice in better light. Just be aware that each has its strong and weak points.

96+ cobra I saw one with headers, full exhuast, CAI, tuned ECU and it dynoed 240whp, and that was in a mustang magizine, henss ford being sued for false hp ratings, they were supposed to be 305hp out the box, not 240whp with lots of bolt ons...

Head cam intake = $3000 brand new for the fox body
96+ cobras heads, cam, intake = hahaha, no one evens asks.

I guess if I made $80K a year and lived in my car, I could think about modding a 96+ cobra or buying a cobraR..

The 03' cobra really is the ultimate ( minus the IRS that makes it kinda heavy ).
