Default Whos in the wrong here? *updated*

Ok here is the deal. I recently sold a "built" head on H-T. Consisted of oversized intake valves, zex cam, and a port and polish job.

Well the guy asked if I had a intake manifold. I told him yeah I have a spare Y8 that is going on my car and he can have the A6 one, just pay shipping whenever I get it off. Well with the weather here I told him he might not be getting the intake manifold (atleast not anytime soon).

So now he is demanding a partial refund because I'm not sending the intake manifold.... I was giving him the intake manifold just pay shipping. Why should I give him a partial refund on the head because of it

Just got this: saying i could have it is the same as paying for it..

No ---- him. You sold the head not the IM. That was a bonus after the deal was done. He will still get the IM just not know. The only thing I might consider refunding is the $15 that might take to ship that IM, that's about it.

It depends on timing too. If the IM swetened the deal before payment was made for the head, then that might be questionable. But if the deal was made and payment completed, before any discussion of the IM, then he doesn't really have a leg to stand on...

Some people just don't understand when you're doing them a favor. Tell him to get bent.

He didn't pay for shipping yet. He wasn't going to pay for that till I got ready to ship it.

He PM'd me asking about it. I had it posted for $350 firm. Naturally he tried to low ball me and say $300 (which the port and polish job alone was $350). I said no the least I can take it $350. Then he asked about shipping. It was like $40 (but he had a FedEx buisness acct and ended up getting it for like $27 and sent the lable to me). So then he asked if I happened to have a IM. I told him yes and he said how much? I said he could just have it just pay the shipping charges. He said ok and that was it.

Now he thinks because I gave it too him that that means it was a package deal....
