ok, so me and a buddy are heading to vegas Sept 4th-8th.

I am looking online and trying to find the lowest price hotel NEAR the strip. I dont mind be off the strip a few blocks, but not 5 miles.

We dont want to spend 150+ per night on a "themed" hotel. We just need a clean place to sleep, we will be up most of the time anyway playing poker.


any recomendations? because I am not finding ---- that is worth my time on priceline.com or any site. We are looking in the 60-80 per night range.

I dug staying at the westin. confortable *** beds man. one of the most comfortable. it's right behind bally's across the street. by the stop light. I forgot what the casino was next to ballys. something bills maybe? whatever. it's behind that. Seriously bomb *** beds. it's like a 3-5 minute walk from the strip. plain *** room with BOMB *** beds.

dude I went to Hotwire.com and picked like a week earlier than that and got round trip airfare from Norfolk VA to vegas and 5 nights 4 days at the Excalibur hotel right next to Newyork New York and Tropicana MGM, Luxor etc. for only $550.

Off season is the ---- if you are ok with the heat.

as much as i would love to go that week, that isn't the weekend we are going.

We have some friends that planned this weekend, and invited us along. They live in vegas, but the bitches have an apartment, and their isnt even floor space to sleep on. So we are going to stay in a hotel.

I stayed at the presidential? it was behind ballys. about a mile from the strip. I went there on the 4th of july and left with double as much as I came with after hitting 4 aces playing poker and winning a jackpot of nearly 600 bucks, and then won another 3-450 playing blackjack and 3 card poker. Then I lost about 250, but i still made money. You should go checkout the shooting range and shoot some full auto guns. Costs a dollar per round but its worth every penny. I blew 2 bills in 4 minutes.

the area that jerkojizz is talking about is Old vegas and its where teh locals go appeanrtly, everything is cheaper around there.

Dont get me wrong, I know a few places to play poker there in town. and my favorite "hole" for poker is Hooters. I have always came out with more money than when I left. Just make sure you get a table full of guys, because most of the time, they are looking at **** instead of their cards.


Personally though, I am going to go to play in some poker tourny's at Billagio, Ceasers, and the Vinetian, and would like to stay closer to those hotels since I will be playing at Ceasars and the Billagio the most.
