I've seen a number of LS heads break belt, baaaarley knock carbon off th sides of a couple valves without hitting the laves themselves, and the engine ran fine with a new belt.

True story.

The tow company would have towed it with no keys, you need to bust out the CASH.

That's what I'm hoping. I'll find out soon.

Within a week, my DD was totalled (meaning I had to get another one), I was hospitalized, I had to sign a lease and put down a deposit at the new apartment, and my apartment was robbed. Do you think I had CASH to bust out at that time?

Plus, I asked doug to let the apt know it'd be a couple days before I had my cars moved because of the circumstances, but that negro dropped the keys off without talking to them

+1, I have owned two Integras that I bought with snapped timing belts. Bought them for dirt cheap, threw on a new timing belt and was golden.

Yup, $500 for a 95 bone-stock 5-speed coupe with broken timing belt on a cheap LS, couldn't pass that up.

Impound fucked it up and I paid over $500 in impound fees, but it'll still be worth it once I get all this ---- figured out.

You dealer techs get paid more to yank a head and send it off.
