its not bullshit. if you do it right, you WILL feel a difference. im not sure how good it is for your clutch/tranny though, so i only do it when racing.
for example, on my buddies 97 civic ex, if you just shift fast, then nothing cool happens because he has a pretty slow car. if you "speedshift", or whatever the ---- you wanna call it, it chirps like a ----------er and you feel alot more power.
my method for this...
(im in first gear)
keep foot floored on gas. right before rev limit, i kick the clutch like im bruce lee - which basically presses and releases the clutch extremely fast. at the exact same time, i pull my shifter into second gear as fast as humanly possible. once again, kick the clutch and pull the shifter as hard/fast as possible AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. if you do it right, there will be NO grinds. if you fuckup or miss the clutch when kicking, you will hurt your ears and want to cry like a little bitch cuz the grinding noise. repeat for any further gears.

this is bullshit, its all bullshit, if you belive in this "powershift" "speedshift" ----, youve watched too many movies and you are a ricer, you ------- ricer die and goto hell, and crash your car and i hope it burns up becasue it is a stupid piece of rice with a fucked up tranny because you dont use the clutch right. go die

i call it powershifting. i consider speed shifting when you let of the gas and shift fast. but me. i power shift. haha makes a sound like your cars gonna break in half. especially with a six puck. its like boom and the screeching from the tires. it doesnt ---- up your syncro's its those people that dont know how to do it ---- their ---- up. ive been doing this ---- for years and i never fucked up one of my trannys mang
