As of now, i think the military will buy me a plane ticket from LAX to Okinawa. Its up to me to get to LAX. My wife and I are thinkin about renting a car and driving there. Is anyone near this, maybe we can meet up for lunch or something...just to meet?

I really think we are gonna dip and go down through New Mexico and through Arizona and maybe stop in Las Vagas for a night. Map quest says Total Est. Time: 32 hours, 2 minutes Total Est. Distance: 2097.46 miles I might also take the infamous Route 66 from Il to the end (make the entire trip) and then go up to LAX.

I just wanna take about 4-5 days and have a little fun in between. This trip is still undecided, should know for sure if its gonna happen next Friday. Anyone on/near this route?
