I just cant understand how anyone could come the the conclusion that a gvmt ran socialized health care is in our best interest?
Or how, its the job of the gvmt to take care of us?

It's because we've gone sooooo far away from the governments original role, that nobody even realizes they aren't just there to hand out anything you might need.

And the government is all about the welfare state. It makes people dependant on anything handed to them (which is paid for by the citizens anyway), and keeps the power in the governments hands. They do the same thing with foriegn aid around the world to get countries crying for another round of Americas tittie (money) in their mouth.

hilary will never become president. Last couple of weeks have been a Hilary roast campaign by everyone and their adopted little blackanese sister.

People need to learn to take care of themselves and stop being marshmallows. The democrats are going to destroy this country if they get their way. They think they act morally and for the utilitarian benefit of all people but instead they show us how stupid and naive people can be.

Why do prisoners get free legal representation, healthcare, education, & meals? Does that make any sense? Does anyone do anything about it? Why are we outsourcing labor overseas when our own prison system could do a bulk of that work and make money doing it and STILL undercut China and India!

Because at this point the healthcare system is out of control and no one else could possibly get it back into control except the gov't. Why do prescription drugs cost so much more in this country?

Its unfortunate that people are terrible consumers when it comes to their healthcare. They get up at 4am to hit the sales on Black Friday, and they search Ebay like fiends for deals on cheap Turbo Kits, but no one really care enough about the actual costs of healthcare.

I think Stevemode is correct in the fact that the gov't is partially responsible for letting this situation get out of control, but I dont think this was their ultimate goal.

Like anything else, if universal healthcare is done right, it will work well and be a good thing for everyone. If done wrong, it could certainly get worse.

Its funny how while skiing in Canada a few years back, all the kids were getting yelled at for jumps and doing tricks at the mountain we were at because no one wanted to pay for someone else getting hurt. It would be nice if people in American could take responsibility for themselves, yet alone try to keep everyone else responsible at the same time.

Govt healthcare is nice although very expensive.I just walk in a hospital and tell them to fix me and leave when its done no bills,deductibles etc.I have had surgery,many broken bones etc and have never been charged a dime.Canada's healthcare system needs some work though we are really short on doctors and hospitals as the infrustucture growth has not kept up with the growing and aging population.This is mainly due to a massive labour shortage in Canada we cant get projects buillt and now we are trying to get people to come from overseas to fill jobs I wish dental was free here though that ---- is expensive although most good jobs cover you these days.
