in 97 i got a ticket on campus on a friday night going 35 in a 15. no traffic. 200 yard driveway. didnt know my insurance had expired the week before. mandatory 1384$ fine cuz thats when they just started enforcing stricter insurance laws. judge was sorry he couldnt lower it. so was i. two guys in front of me were in for GTA, robbery, multiple counts, battery, etc. fine was 200bucks or so and community service
