Ok, now I have to ask a really stupid question. I thought the i-vtech system was set up with a variable valve timing setup. (like moving the cam TIMING forward and backward while the car is running) Where you are adjusting the valve timing, not the lift. I'm I completely on crack. How is it REALLY set up. Are there still 2 lobes with a swith over point, just like the old stuff? Is there a good website for info on the new setup?

your correct like the porsche 911 and several f1 engines honda has moved valve timing to the cam gear itself allowing for true variable timing. I love the k engine its got pretty strong sleeves from what Ive read, and arguably has the most potential of any honda 4. Thats not saying 160hp in a 3000lbs car is cool.. but you got to 200-250 you got your self a nice quick moving car. And as for sales of the rsx they are kicking *** in most markets.

Remember kids, 15 seconds IS fast when you are at 5400 feet of elevation (Denver)...15's here means 13's at sea level!! But the new Si only runs a high 16 up here...

from that link and what little i've read elsewhere, it sounds like the civic Si's i-VTEC is similar in operation to VTEC-E in previous generations... maybe it should have been tagged a Civic CX?

i just think they are ugly as ----! i bought a 00 si as opposed to an 02 just because of the body style (and i'd rather have a b series than a k )
