where else to buy mobo and processor
i usually order pretty much everything off of newegg.
im looking for:
gigabyte ga-ep35c-ds3r
and
intel q6600
mobo is at ~150 and processor is ~190.
havent seen the cpu for less than than, but the mobo was 40 bucks cheaper a few months back, so im hoping someone knows something i dont and can find both of these for cheaper.

Re: where else to buy mobo and processor
The Radeon 4850 HD has gotten my interest... and it's cheap enough I might just have to overhaul my desktop with a blown psu. 3.16ghz c2d is like $190 too and currently runs circles around the quad cores in everything but rendering basically.

But, very well ------- played all the same. I have a T8300 in my T61 and running XP it's a screamer and chews through anything; only a dual core 2.4 Ghz with a slower FSB and less than half the L2 cache of the Q6600. an excellent taste you have in hardware, sir.

I know this is HMT and saving $20-40 bucks means a lot to most of you guys, but I'd go newegg all the way and not look back. If you can swing the price difference and only want cheaper because you're being a tightass I recommend you reconsider, the lower priced guys are trying to make their money on quantity and you will get fucked on the service end if anything does go wron
