Try this out and click on software*edit* I just realized it only has it in Portugese and spanish:

I have a samsung E715 with Infrared so I bought an irda dongle for my computer. Therefore I don't need a cable because I can just use the infrared. Then I DLed the software(GPRS) from samsung's website for my phone.
My phone is about a year old but I still love it. It's got a camera, flash, flashlight, and the infrared. I can export all my phonebook/pics/etc and other info to my computer so it'll be backed up.
If the computer picks up the phone then a usb driver is not needed because it's obviously seeing the phone. It just doesn't know what to do with the phone. I had the same problem.

How ------- gay. It looks like it might work though, I just can't read it. 
My computer recognizes the phone, but yeah, it doesn't know what to do so wouldn't that mean I need a driver?
What kind of software would I need to do this with? I hate computers.....__________________

It asks what to open it with and I don't know WTF to open it with. Where did you find them? Samsumg doesn't even list this phone on their site. ------- homos. How can you make and sell a phone and not even list it on your website? __________________

you cant just open the files or run them like an installer.
right click my computer and go to properties
then go to devie manager tab, and get into the hardware section.
from there find the usb device with the ? on it, while the phone is connected, then right click it and follow thru the directions to update the driver. save those files to a folder on your hard drive and point the driver installer to that folder to search for the drivers.
should work.
im bad at working on computers over text and phone, put me in front of it and theres nothing i cant do.
