Back when I was a honda guy I had a ---- load of pix. You know before the Miata the 3g/1g Civic CRX was the winningest car in the SCCA. Good luck finding pix since it's old 80's ----. Most were setup with mumford links so you're better off searching for mumford link info and stumbeling across the pix you want. It's really hard finding info on this stuff since setting up something like a mumford is expensive and you could've just got a miata by then. I saw a 1g CRX RWD with a 12a and a FB rearend latterally supported by a mumford and for aft with 3 link sus. ---- pulled like 1.4g's on 9" hoosiers.

so why do some of those race engines have the throttle body on the turbo? i noticed that before lookin at some bmw race motors

Most of the new F1 engines have it on the intake manifold. It is used to spool the turbo faster and to close the pop-off.

Pop-off valves are handed out to every team before the race by F1 officials. They are set to open at a certain psi. They don't close as fast as they should, so they use that throttle to SLAM them shut with engine vacuum.
