Re: whats your pooter setup?
well it came with my laptop, but you can probably buy the setup..... a lot of desktops come with it now too
basically it allows direct connections for TV and cable (seperately even), radio, two sets of composite inputs, S video..... I also have a S video hookup on the laptop itself, whats neat is there is a remote so if you wanna watch a movie on the 17" widescreen you can without sitting super close. It also allows you to pause, record, rewind, and fast forward tv or radio.
Its a really neat setup, Media Center is just an addition onto XP Pro, so its good all around. I'd reccomend a comp with it to anyone (you dont have to be smart to use this all)

My next laptop will be from costco...you can change it out every 6 months for a new one!
My laptop has an s-video out too. but i dont really need it because i always have it hooked up to my 17'' widescreen tv via the VGA port. ( i don't have a DVI port).
never buy a dell. They suck so much. I got this one for cheap as hell though in December of 2003.
p4 mobile 3.06ghz hyperthreading, 512 ddr ram, 60 gig HD, DVD/CD-RW, gforce fx go5200, 15.4'' UXGA screen. Not bad for 2 years ago and 1200 dollars.

Re: whats your pooter setup?
yeah, I like HP comps... got this one from CompUSA. Sweet talked my parents into paying 1400, and I paid the other 600. It is really a 2300 dollar laptop, but there were mondo rebates. I definately wont need to upgrade it soon, thats what I loved about it. It has everything, including lightscribe (which is really awesome I might add). I have the ATI X600 128MB graphics card, so playing computer games with the man is a lot of fun. *thumbs up*
