Buddy of mine is a manager at CC, and this is basically(paraphrased) what he told me, after i asked him to hook it up with a huge mark down on an SLR camera. He was told the stores would be open for another 60 days.

"Its gonna be about a month before ---- really starts selling cheap. Now until the super bowl is the biggest selling time for Tv's, so not gonna be ---- for discounts until after then. At this point the stores management isn't in control, the liquidaters have total control over sales/markdowns. If we attempt to markdown anything we are fired on the spot, and i don't a wanna ---- up my unemployment."

Tommyboy, ---- managerial hookups. You want disgruntled employee backdoor hookups.

D-RAIL is at the one in Columbus Indiana, says it is packed. Guess he is going to be buying a computer next week, so he says.

Are store credit cards still acceptable?

Someone just texted me that everything was 30% off at the local one. Who knows?

30% off doesn't mean anything. It is standard protocol to take a TV that sells currently for $1000, increase the price to $1400-1500(normally very close to original MSRP), and then take 30% off. In the end you pay the same amount or a few dollars less. Again, go on slickdeals.com and wait. You'll find a better deal and you won't have to deal with stupid BS.

Best TV for broke *** ------ right now is the Panasonic 42" 720p plasma. Not the best computer monitor, but is on sale every couple of weeks for around $575.
