I was acually going to suggest that one to. You can flip the acual diff inside the case. Thats what they do when you go from rear engine to mid engine(think sand rail). I think it would still be on the week side of the ring gear if turning backwards though.

what a waste. I'd like it the otheway around. 4G to a b-series tranny. But they do make a bellhousing to use a W58 from a supra to bolt onto a 4G63. I never checked on a price but those supra trannies can handle a good number and those things are pretty cheap and plentiful at the boneyards. Once the L28 in the Z goes then 4G it is.

i'm considering making my crx front engine-rwd... i'd like to keep the B17 i've got since i've invested a fair amount of money in preparing to have it built. i'd also like to keep it honda powered... but picking up an s2000 drivetrain would be kinda spendy. i also would just be more impressed to see a b-series turned 90 degrees under the hood.

A long time ago I saw a baja truck that used a turbo B16 turned front-rear, but I don't remember what they used for a trans.

Just sell the B17 and buy a S2000 motor/trans. You can usually get em for a little over 4 grand.

could you change it to dry sump and make the b series spin backwards?

or machine the oil/water pump to run in a different direction?
