Im guessing the cardboard was to help reach operating temperature...

actually i didnt know my thermostat was messed up and my car just wasent heating up at all when it was like 1 degree last week, so i tried what i did with my old astro van to keep it warmer, not a good idea. buried the temp gauge needle had to pull over and pull it out.

You mean Honda-bond. Good stuff, I highly reccomend it over normal rtv. It's an anorobic rtv I believe. Just don't use it excessively on things you plan on removing any time soon

Man compared to some of the engines I have seen its clean, I know its not perfect but it dosnt have grime all over the inside like my B16 did when I first took it apart.
