Re: what peaked your interest
I've been interested in turbo cars since I was younger, especially seeing the GNX's and such when I was real young. I've always been interested in domestics and loved those cars. My cousin talked to me about an electric supercharger he saw on eBay, I was skeptical, so I googled it, came across this site and have been hooked every since. That was actually a while before I signed up.

I was ------- up ---- with forced induction way before hmt was even thought of. I have never been able to leave ---- alone. When I was a kid I would rip my brand new toys apart to modify them and most never worked again, not much different just the toys are more money :P

Re: what peaked your interest
It was about 10 years ago a guy from my neighbor hood was talking about swapping a turbo from a turbo lebaron into his none turbo chrysler whatever. I had a Geo Storm at the time and went to talk to the neighborhood wise man
The wise man builds dragsters and works on peoples race cars for a living dudes my hero. He told me about how turbo's works and how everything would fit on my geo. Then he told about how the stock computer on that car wouldn't like boost I'd run lean and blow it up. He even talked about fmu's and ---- like that he said LOL bear in mind this is 1998 ish that fmu's suck and the only way to do it would be if I could reprogram the cars ecu somehow.
The guy was just light years ahead of anything I could do at that time so i just let it go until I got a computer and started finding out about uberdata around three years ago. I still feel like I have unfinshed business with a geo storm though. sometime I'll pick up a megasquirt and grab a $300 storm and boost it with a t25
