as mentioned, whats wrong with iTunes though? i know they try installing a ton of bloat-ware like safari/quicktime/etc. but what is significantly better about other programs? someone should just make a "light" version of iTunes.
Oops yup, you're right. Just checked my phone. I only remembered it had "her" in it and forgot about the herald. I think the new HTC Touch doesn't have a slideout keyboard, which I don't like. Also, I think it still uses the OMAP850. I'll probably rock the Wing until T-Mobile rolls out it's 3g (supposed to be this summer, but also heard it last year) and a new HTC WM7 phone. I'll probably be with HTC Windows Mobile phones until there's a technology to get rid of cellphones...

I use itunes for my ipod. There's some features I wish they would implement ... like:

- Let me set a folder for my library, and have itunes automatically update my library whenever I open it. Would be easy to just get a checksum of the folder, compare it to the previous one, if it's changed it will edit the library.
- NOT ADD DUPLICATES. I hate that crap. If I add a lot of files to my music folder, I don't want to have to manually add each one. I want to be able to select the folder and have itunes figure out what is new and what's not...or if they would just do the last feature I listed it wouldn't be a problem.
- Let me EASILY choose what files will go on the ipod and which don't. it'd be nice if they would just use a different color behind the tracknames on the library list of music to show which will be copied to the ipod. The checkmarks are retarded.

Google ipod music software and I'm sure you'll come up with other stuff.

+1 solder a new one on, dont know exactly which HTC it was, only thing i can think of is the flip-phone one that might break off easily... oh, and burning CD-RW's is really a one time cost... and every tool in the world has an iPod, why the ---- would i want one? also as mentioned, 99% of people just use iTunes.

Find me a replacement port and I will. I'm not paying $80 for a new one. It's the MDA from T-mobile. So every tool in the world has an iPod? Every ------- tool back in 99 was burning CDs. Your just a out of date tool. I didn't ask what 99% of the people use, I asked what ELSE did they use.

I've found the HTC Wizard service manual before, and the Tmobile MDA one...google it. Looks pretty easy to take apart. If you can find the part, I'll fix it, and we can split the money :P I have to fix a blackberry today. Actually find the part and give me the MDA and you can keep the pearl.

Burning CD-RWs won't help me take my 7000+ mp3s with me wherever I go. Everyone in the world has an ipod because they are easy to use :P Zune only has a couple of better things, but the ipods GUI has it beat. I've been looking at Archos new stuff, but since I have an ipod I'll be keeping it until it can't hold all my music anymore.

I already took it apart. Maybe I'll get lucky and Radio Shack will have one.
