Default What I did on my break today.

Slideshow video...
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4...b2014ea93f.htm

I bough this bike from my old neighbor, it had been totally submerged in two floods. I paid $200 for it...

I got all the water and mud out of the cylinder, drained the water from the case/frame

cleaned carb & jets, new plug and adjusted valves and she fired up.

flushed it with oil about 6 times, and was still coming out watery, so i took some iso-heat and mixed it with oil and did that twice and it got all the water out.

its a XR350r, has a dry dump oil system which is kinda cool i guess...

doesn't smoke, has decent power, once you get in 3rd+ you can really notice the lack of raw power but its fun to poke around on... kinda top heavy...

Not bad for 200 bones.

2-stokes with a straight pipe does the job. Pissed off a whole housing development.

What's all that white ---- on the ground?

I just got a new paddle put on, changed my gear oil, air filter, cleaned, lubed and ready to roll for a weekend in Glamis. In 48 hours I'll be unloading my bike for an unlit night ride.
My buddy has a light that I'll be able to see good enough with if I ride close enough

I hate 4 strokes, but for the price you can't go wrong. I've been wanting to get something with an electrical system that I can run lights with so I can ride at night. I wish the gf made more money so she can buy a quad.....and I could ride it.

Honestly though, from what I hear, Glamis isn't that great compared to what you have around there. I love Glamis and it's the greatest place I've ever ridden, but from what I've heard there are way better places to ride closer to you. If I ever get serious I'd like to explore a little and find out for myself. ---- I can't wait 2 more days....
