Ok i was porting on my a6 head and on the exhaust side chamber next thermostat what is the extra hole next to the last exhaust valve it is next to the valve stem seal? and i can run a wire through it and it goes to the intake manifold , but it looks as though it is blocked of on the manifold. is this extra hole supposed to be there or did i ---- up my head?

was the hole there when you started? im assuming no, I dont know ehre the hole is because you didnt give pics or say what port or direction, but Im gonna say its fucked

well i dont think that coolant runs through it but i honestly was so ------- happy thinking about how baddass this bitch was going to flow and how i didn't need to pay some guy 500.00 to port my ----, that i ------- dont know if it was there when i started. all i know is that on the a6 manifold there is a hole for coolant that is rectangular with a circle shaped spot below that is where the hole on the exhuast goes to so if anybody knows site with detailed schematic of a d16a6 head let me know otherwise i will be buying a new head

Ya there defientely isnt any holes in the exhaust ports

You can pick up a prebuilt ported and ---- head for cheap though man

I grabbed mine with everything in the head worked, cam, ported n polished, 3 anle valve job and freshly decked for $435 shipped
