What do you think about turbo mopars?
Ok, well I figured I couldn't resist making a post about this any longer. I have been recently introduced into the world of turbo chrysler cars and am not quite sure what to think. I'm talking about the old daytonas, omnis, shelby's.
I personally drive a turbo civic, but recently the guy that I live with bought a moderately built Omni GLH turbo. I flew out to Cali to pick it up for him and while driving home discovered how damn fast the car was. This car has only been built using used stock chrysler parts, and was running mid 13's there at sea level. Needless to say, it puts my civic to shame (at least for now
).
Anyway, I'm just interested in what you guys know about these cars, and what your opinions are. I have posted links to videos for the non-beleivers:

PS-I'm not about to get rid of the civic!

You can make those things go realy fast for almost no money. Unfortunately they will never be cool. I know a lot of Mopar guys and they are all a little strange, loner types that dont have many/any friends. The junk yards around here are full of the old turbo K cars with lots of good parts, I just cant bring myself to join that crowd.
