Grill cleaner does a pretty badass job at removing grease and carbon. Spray it on, let sit for a couple minutes, brush and wash off with hot water. Leaves your parts nice and shiny.

i use oven cleaner. spray it on and let it sit for 10min, then rinse with a hose

and they sell that ---- at the dollar store. a friend of mine dod that too, just sprayed it on and took the block down to a car wash and sprayed it with the pressure washer and it worked great.

purple power and a wire wheel on an electric drill.

works great. Its all I use.

purple power makes the outside of the engine look like ----.. Now for oil pans, gurdles, and anything that is oil stained, but as far as the outside of the engine.. Simple green a few times should wear it down good.
