IRC is where the truly ---- music people lurk, complete organised collections of high bitrate (192+) with no glitches and direct feeds from quality ripping groups (amok, fwyh, razor, etc). Some people on IRC have music before it gets fed to Usenet, much less propigated across the nntp servers.
FWIW, I pay $10/month for easynews, 6Gb limit and good retention. alt.binaries.multimedia.erotica for the good **** movies, and they used to not give a ---- if you were a UPA/meower/troll/etc.
