cops cant run the numbers on the engine. my friend got caught street racing and they tried to rn his engine but they couldnt, and even some of my friends that got their engine's bar'd, they didnt even check to see if it was stolen or not

Even if your motor is stolen, the only way they could check that is if the original car that it came in was ever stolen. Someone could sell you thier motor, and 2 years later their car gets stolen with a different motor in it. Your motor is now looked at as stolen.
I had a friend this happened to. He ended up getting the motor back from the cops. I guess it just wasn't something they could prove, but they did take it (it was on the floor at his shop)

Just by you asking about it leads me to believe it's probably stolen, you know it, and you want to cover your ***.
If it were completely legit why would that thought even enter into your mind
I just bought an engine last week and I never even thought twice about whether it were stolen or not. The thought never even entered into my head.
If you are so sure it's legit, then you have nothing to worry about, right?
