Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what is considered a clear drivers license. I live on the boader of PA but have a Job interview in NY and i need a clear drivers license to get the job. I have herd so many diffrent things on what CLEAR is. I am 22 today as a matter of fact and since i could drive i have had 3-5 speeding 2 for tint a few exhaust ones and 1 or 2 failure to obey a traffic divice like running a red light or turn on red bull ----. MY license is not suspended and never has been. Every ticket i have gotten has been in NY, never got one in PA ever.

I have herd that since i live in PA and never have got a ticket in PA i will be fine, others have told me otherwise. Allot of people said as long as my license is not suspended i will be fine. Also i have never been in a accident that has been my fault except for hitting a deer this past summer. My insurance is in PA and that has never changed and they never said anything about a ticket ever. If anyone has any idea let me know.

Oh yea i drive a 95 turbo civic coupe its teal new paint job KYB AGX shocks with skunk 2 coilovers 16 inch mr7's stage 3 clutch apr head studs fluidyne radiator brembo drilled and slotted with ebc green stuff pads and a d16z6 with a T3/T04B running 8psi for now and some other misc. stuff and i did it all myself ( the best way) TURBO ROCKS!!!!

That is a very tricky question.

It is obvious when someone says they need you to have a clear driving record. That means no moving violations of any sort.

A clear drivers license could be assumed to mean the same thing, but it could also just mean that you have to have a valid drivers license.

I think you will just ahve to find out in person or call ahead.

i think you answered your own question....but you have tickets so i don't think your licence is "clear"....i know people that have gotten tickets while in the states(my uncle got a DUI aka drunk driving in the states) and it affected them in canada

humm, i see, I forgot to say in my first post that i had a job at the begining of 2004 that i needed a clear drivers license and i had as many tickets then as i do now and i got that job. but then again im not sure if they checked for real or just took my word for it.

I know in ontario(can) you can pay $12 to get a report from the DMV...try that route

Ya I was asked about having a "clean" record for my job now.

Ive got a 69 in a 50 speeding ticket and taking a stop sign at walking speed.

Company never mentioned it/found out/cared

I pull driving records every day. If you got tickets in a state other than the one you live in (are licensed in) the tickets won't be there. The out of state cops have no way of accessing the DMV system in another state to add the tix. And by "clean driving record" 99% of the time they're looking for tickets on your driving record within the last 3 years. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I sure as ---- don't have a clean driving record. The son of a bitch that hit me filed a claim with my insurance company. Why the ---- do I have to pay for his ---- to get fixed when he is the one that hit me? Son of a bitch.....

i have always heard that "clean" ment under 6 points on your license in the last three years. i'm not too sure since i have 2 speeding tickets, a negligent driving 2nd degree, and a DUI.

thats not true i got a speeding ticket in ohio and i live in illinois i got pulled over in illinois and the cop asked how my trip to ohio was so he knew i had a ticket from ohio also someone said something bou points on your record some states dont use points at all
