what can happen as ebay buyer?
so im new to this but hear all kinds of bad ---- happening.
so as a buyer what can happen?
what if i get a different item than described?
what if i get a broken item?
i plan on using paypal what would i be able to do in those instances?

as a buyer you somewhat have more rights than the seller, ebay and paypal usually screw sellers around, if you recieved a broken iten that was caused buy postal handling and the seller gave you a option to purchase insurance and you declined, if the item was properly packaged its all on you. if the parts is used and did not work the seller is responsible, you can purchase money back guarantee from paypal before you send payment also

No thats the world. They cant just refund people all the time because some one feels like they didnt get what the paid for.
paypal if you dont get anything you can file a claim and request a tracking #. If no tracking # is given within 10 days of claim then you get your money back
I do this on a daily basis so I really dont know what Im talkin about

i dont know how people get around the rules paypal and ebay have, to screw people.
like your example above, people know that a tracking number is required, so what happens when they send you some bullshit in the box intead of what was paid for?
thats the kind of circumstance i was hoping to get feedback on.

You file a claim saying the merch was not what was promised. This is an extremly long process usually over a month and its up to paypal rep who is assigned to your claim who is at fault etc
There are so many things that heppen each day on paypal/ebay well over 1 million transactions for them to take everything on a personal basis is asking to much.
I ahve been burned a couple times on ebay but overall its a great system and 99 percent of the time you deal with honest good hearted people which i think is the average human being.
