try a r6...just go easy with it but if u would rather stick in the 250 range try the ninja 250 or the honda rebel...my buddy got a rebel cuz he was a little unsure of himself too cuz he never rode b4...now he wishes he got the r6 and its only been 2 weeks

Maybe I'll just save my money a bit longer and get a better bike. I talked to a couple of guys at work today who ride and they said yes, you're less likely to kill yourself if you go with a smaller bike, but you'll outgrow it. As long as you know it's a lot of bike for you, you'll be fine.

You will want a 600 sport bike real fast but if you are scared to get that, get an sv650 they look kind of like a gsxr but some of them come naked. and you sit more straight up and down tey are really cool bikes

When I started riding street bikes I got a 97 CBR 600. Everyone told me to start smaller, but you really don't need to. I suggest starting on a 600 and just sticking with it.
By the way, the busa is a big piece of ----. Its ugly and heavy and good for a straight line.

Busa's just have a big engine. I'd much rather have an R6/R1 or similar bike. Something that can handle and go fast in straight lines
